A lecture that's extra...

Grammy-nominated music video director David Wilson entrusted me with leading and developing all technical aspects for his ambitious production, David Wilson’s Cabaret. Described as a “lecture that’s extra” culminating in an electrifying 50-minute cabaret performance, the show was commissioned by WeArePlaygrounds and showcased as the grand finale of their renowned Playgrounds InMotion Festival. The event debuted at the iconic Maassilo in Rotterdam before making its way to the prestigious Barbican Centre in London.

Tasked with overseeing the technical execution across multiple international venues, I successfully crafted and implemented a comprehensive QLAB show file that served as the backbone of the production’s seamless integration. This included designing and programming intricate lighting states that elevated the performance’s immersive atmosphere.

My role extended beyond technical coordination; I worked closely with David Wilson and the acclaimed Harry Clayton-Wright to co-develop two innovative and dynamic acts specifically for this production. The trust placed in me to shape both the technical framework and artistic content of David Wilson’s Cabaret highlights my ability to blend technical mastery with creative collaboration, ensuring a compelling experience for audiences across diverse, high-profile venues.
